What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and a unique account identifier from Google. We do not receive your Google password, and we never ask you to create one here.
When you create a story we store what you wrote: your story idea, the plan generated from it, the text of each page, the illustration prompts, and the illustrations themselves. We also store your credit balance and payment history.
Generated illustrations are kept for 30 days
This matters enough to state plainly. Illustrations you generate are stored on our image service for 30 days from the moment they are created, and are then deleted automatically. This is not a storage limit we might extend — it is how the product is built.
The reason is that the image model we use only keeps a generated picture for about an hour. We copy it to our own storage immediately so it does not vanish while you are still working, but we do not run a permanent image archive. If you want to keep a finished book, download the PNG bundle from the preview screen, or print it from your browser.
Your story text, plans and characters are not deleted on that schedule. They stay in your library until you delete them.
Who can see your stories
The stories you create are private. Nobody else can read them — there is no way to publish or share a book you have made, and they are never listed in the public library. Download the PNG bundle if you want to share a story with someone.
Services we send data to
- Google — sign-in only. We receive your email; they do not receive your stories.
- Our authentication and billing service — your account record, credit balance and payment records.
- Stripe — payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- A large language model provider — your story idea and brief, in order to generate the plan.
- An image generation provider — the illustration prompt for each page.
- Cloudflare R2 — where generated illustrations are stored for their 30 days.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your stories to train models.
Children
Storyclover is made for adults — parents, carers and educators — who create stories for children to read. Accounts are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and there is nothing in the product that asks a child for any.
Deleting your data
Deleting a story removes its text, its plan, its characters and its illustrations. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email [email protected].
