The whole story

1. Maya stood beside the hillside cave on a bright afternoon.

2. Maya cupped her hands and called, “Hello, cave!”

3. A small voice answered, “Hello, cave!”

4. Maya smiled because the cave had answered her.

5. Maya whispered, “Hello,” and the cave whispered, “Hello.”

6. Maya tapped two pebbles, and two taps came back.
