The Mitten That Kept Getting Fuller

One lost mitten shelters more and more animals until a tiny sneeze sends everyone tumbling out.

The whole story

1. On a snowy morning, a small gray rabbit found a warm red mitten.

2. The small gray rabbit with warm brown eyes, long ears, a cream scarf, and blue knitted booties curled inside.

3. A plump brown mouse asked, “May I come in?” The mitten made room.

4. The small gray rabbit and the plump brown mouse warmed their paws together.

5. A tiny green frog peeped inside, and the mitten made room again.

7. A round white hedgehog arrived with cold paws, and the mitten made room.

10. The mitten kept getting fuller until every whisker and feather touched.

11. Then the small golden chick felt a tiny tickle beneath its bonnet.

12. The tiny sneeze sent everyone tumbling out into the soft snow.
