4. “Tomorrow I will be bigger,” said the fish. “Then you may keep me.”
5. The fisher carried the bucket to the lake and poured the fish into water.
6. The little fish found the reeds and promised to grow before tomorrow.
7. All day, the little fish searched for food and grew only a little.
8. At sunset, the little fish practiced its promise beneath the reeds.
9. The next morning, the fisher cast the green net again.
10. The little fish was still small, and the fisher held it carefully.
11. “Please give me one more day,” begged the little fish.
12. “I promised to return bigger later,” said the fish. “Please trust me.”
13. The fisher shook his head and chose the small fish he already had.
14. The fisher kept the small fish, and the lake kept its promise of tomorrow.
