Two Rabbits and One Carrot

Two rabbits both want the last carrot, and discover that half each tastes better than a whole one alone.

The whole story

1. Pip and Poppy dug carrots after breakfast.

2. One carrot stayed in the soft brown soil.

3. Pip pulled one end, and Poppy pulled the other.

4. The carrot came out, but nobody ate.

5. They carried it to the little garden table.

6. Pip pushed the plate. Poppy pushed it back.

7. Poppy laid a spoon across the middle.

8. Snap went the carrot, into two bright halves.

9. They nibbled together on the little bench.

10. Half each tasted better than one whole alone.
