5. Kit slid down, but Pip stayed at the bottom, waiting for his turn.

8. The sun climbed higher, and Uma, Bo, and Kit sat down to rest.
9. At last, the quiet slope gave Pip his turn at the top.
10. Pip waited and waited below; when the others tired, he took the best slide of all.
