A young bee cannot remember which flower she came from, and visits every colour until she finds home.

The whole story

1. Bina sipped breakfast from a yellow flower.

2. Then wind tickled the stems, and Bina blinked.

3. Was home yellow like butter and sun?

4. She tried red, soft as a warm mitten.

5. She tried blue, cool as a rain pail.

6. She tried purple, round as a plum.

7. She tried green, tucked under a leaf.

8. She tried white, quiet as milk.

9. A yellow crumb clung to Bina's boot.

10. More yellow crumbs dotted the grass.

11. The crumbs led back to her yellow flower.

12. Bina slept where yellow smelled like home.
