The whole story

1. At autumn sunrise, Mira gathers fallen leaves beneath the old maple tree.

3. Mira looks up and finds the little leaf holding tightly to its branch.

4. By afternoon, cool rain fills the garden, and the little leaf stays on its branch.

5. Mira visits every morning, standing quietly beneath the tree as autumn grows colder.

6. A soft snow covers the ground, but the little leaf remains on its branch.

7. At spring sunrise, Mira returns and sees a tiny green bud beside the leaf.
