The Toy Car Needed a Parking Spot

A child leaves toys everywhere, then makes a simple home for each toy so cleanup becomes easier.

The whole story

1. On a bright morning, Mina drove her little red car across the playroom rug.

2. Soon, the car stopped beside a tower, while blocks filled the floor.

3. Mina parked the car near the sofa, then scattered more toys.

4. At cleanup time, Mina searched beneath a pile for the missing car.

5. She found the car under a blanket, but its parking place was gone.

6. Mina placed a cardboard box by the wall and opened a wide doorway.

7. Then she gave the blocks a basket, and the stuffed animals and books a shelf.

8. The next morning, every toy had a home, and cleanup began with the car.

9. Mina parked the car, and cleanup became easy because every toy had a home.
