The whole story

1. Maya carried a blue blanket into the sunny living room. Leo brought cushions, and Ruby brought clothespins.

2. Maya held one corner, but Leo pulled the blanket another way. Ruby said, "Wait!"

3. Maya wanted a tall fort, and Leo wanted a wide fort. Ruby wanted room for everyone.

4. The blanket slid down, and the cushions tumbled onto the rug. Everyone stopped.

5. Ruby looked at the pieces and made a plan. "We each need a job."

6. Maya held the blanket, Leo tucked the edge, and Ruby clipped it tight.
