The Toothbrush Tickled Too Much

A child dislikes brushing teeth, tries a slower start, and finishes with a clean-mouth smile.

The whole story

1. At morning time, Maya climbed onto her stool and held her toothbrush.

2. Maya brushed one little spot, and the bristles tickled too much.

3. Maya pulled the toothbrush away and squeezed her lips together.

4. She sat down and held the toothbrush very still.

5. Maya started slowly, brushing one tooth with a tiny gentle circle.

6. The tickle stayed small, so Maya brushed the next tooth too.

7. Maya brushed the lower teeth, then the teeth at the back.

8. When every tooth felt clean, Maya rinsed and wiped her mouth.

9. Maya smiled with a clean mouth and placed her toothbrush in its cup.
