The whole story

1. On Saturday morning, Maya carried her green bag into the toy shop.

2. A bright blue whale waited on the highest shelf, and Maya wanted it.

3. Maya held the whale carefully while the shopkeeper checked its price.

4. Maya counted her coins, but they could not pay for the whale.

5. Maya put the whale back, though her fingers wanted to hold it.

6. Maya waved goodbye to the whale and walked home with her bag.

7. At home, Maya opened her toy chest and found Bear waiting inside.

8. Maya hugged Bear tightly and played with the toy already waiting at home.
