When the Stars Took Turns Being First

The first star worries about shining alone, but more stars appear until the sky becomes a patient team.

The whole story

1. At sunset, a young star took its place above the quiet village. “I will be first tonight,” it whispered.

2. The sky grew blue, then deeper blue. The little star shone carefully, but the wide sky still felt empty.

3. A lavender cloud covered part of the sky. The first star waited beside it and wondered, “What if I must shine alone?”

4. Then three more stars found their places. The first star kept shining steadily, so the newcomers could see the open sky.

5. The stars took turns being brightest. When one rested its glow, another filled the quiet space.

6. More stars arrived, one by one. No star had to hurry, because the others waited.

7. The first star had worried about shining alone. Then more stars appeared, until the sky became a patient team.
