3. Amina pulled gently. Nothing happened. She pulled harder, but the string only hummed.
4. Amina sat beside a stone and thought. Pulling was not helping, so she stopped pulling.
5. She watched the grass. The wind was whispering from the west, but it had been blowing east before.
6. Amina loosened the string and waited. The cloud drifted, and the new wind began to tug the other way.
7. A tug tickled the string. Amina held it gently, and the kite came out of the cloud carrying raindrops.
8. Amina thought her kite was lost forever. Then the wind changed, and patience brought it home sparkling with rain.
