8. At last, the snowman opened his pocket. He gave Mara the last frozen seed.
9. Mara planted it in the warm earth. The snowman watched from the garden path.
10. By sunrise, one yellow flower opened. It was the first flower of spring.
11. Mara held the scarf close. The snowman was gone, but spring had begun in his pocket.
